Due to spammers constantly attempting to access the LietzFamily.com forum, new registrations have been disabled. So, if you are a family member and want to register to use the forum, you must email us at admin@lietzfamily.com first to let us know who you are (any emails from non-family members will be ignored...) We will then temporarily enable the forum registration so that you can register. Those who have already registered are not affected by this change. Thank you.

Items of importance, concerning the new Gallery.
  1. Once you register, we (LietzFamily.com Administration) will activate your account, as soon as we can. Until we do, you will not be able to log in to the Gallery.
  2. Once you are activated by us, an album will automatically be created just for you. It will have your name on it, literally. You and only you can add pictures to your album.
  3. To add pictures to your album, first log in to the gallery with the username and password that you chose during registration. Once you do you will be able to see your album as well as albums belonging to other family members. You can not do anything in the gallery, even view pictures, until you are logged in. There will be a link on your album that says, "no thumbnail". Click it to enter your album. In your album, you will see a list of links on the left of the page. Click the one that says "Add Items" to add pictures.
  4. Everyone has been allotted 100MB of storage space for their pictures. This should be enough for 40-80 pictures, depending on your camera. If you run out of room and need more space, let us know.
  5. If you have any problems, whatsoever, send an e-mail to admin@lietzfamily.com. Please contact us with any problems, even if you think it may be your fault.

Picture sharing is up. Unfortunately, we had a bad setup previously (until a couple of days ago), so we lost the pictures that had been uploaded so far (sorry, but it was out of our control). The new picture sharing is much, much better and (hopefully!) easier. Click the Gallery link to use it. You must register. Once you do, I'll activate your account as soon as possible. E-mail admin@lietzfamily.com with any questions. Josh might do a tutorial, I think, but it is really very easy. Just jump in and start playing around. You won't be able to break anything. You might notice some other changes within the next few days also. We are going to "integrate" the different sections (forum, gallery, calendar in the future) for a little bit easier navigation. So look for that change to come.

We are back up, sort of. The forums should be back this evening, as well as (maybe) a new image sharing feature that is a little easier to use than the old one. Sorry for the interruption.

We now have a calendar in the Forum. Look for a link at the top of the Forum pages that says 'Calendar'. We are also looking into purchasing a more advanced and easier to use (but cheap) calendar program. More to come in the future. Also, a big thanks to those that have donated money.

Edit: The calendar function is no longer enabled. A new calendar page will be posted when a suitable (and free) calendar is located.

See post inside the Forum about Easter plans.

We have a picture sharing feature ready now. Click on the Pictures link on the left of this page. You will have to register for the Picture gallery area (if you want to post pictures) in addition to the Forum registration. You can use the same username and password for both, but you need to register for both areas. Register for the Picture gallery.

We are in the process of setting up an area where the family can share pictures. It should be set up this week sometime, so look for that announcement here.

Welcome to the new Lietz Family website. We are still in the process of constructing the site, so check back often. Keep in mind that this is not free to maintain (cost is around $50/year), so if you want to donate a little money ($5 or $10) then click the Donate button at left. Use the Forum link to easily get in contact with the rest of the family. Before you enter the Forum, you must Register.
